Resonance Frequency Breathing and Stress

Resonance frequency breathing is slow abdominal breathing somewhere between 4.5 and 7.0 breaths per minute.

  • When  the sympathetic nervous system is over active it can lead to physical and mental signs of stress, including the inability to focus, muscle tension, fatigue, headaches and anxiety.
  • Resonance breathing helps you tip the scales back in favor of the parasympathetic nervous system. This can improve your resillience and coping abilities.
  • The optimum personal rate can be determined using body sensors and associated software.
  • Practicing breathing at your personal rate daily can help alleviate many annoying and frustrating conditions we are faced with today.
